I have done many of the ocean seascapes capturing the water as mist so I was quite eager to try the same technique on a river in the Drakensberg. It was quite challenging hiking with my tripod and landscape gear so I really hope that this was worth it.
It was great getting out this morning allbeit a bite late. Packed the family in and headed off to the river mouth to capture some birds. We were a bit late for the morning activity but I managed to capture a few moments. It took quite a bit of patience on everyone’s part.

It took some time but I finally managed to capture this bee close up with a Macro lens. Focusing was a challenge and I think I need increase the aperture to get more of the insect in focus.
